It wasn't so much what she said, but rather how she said. These type of people are dangerous, because words and sentiment spark action. Being the reader that you proclaim to be, you should know this.

Obama is pretty, no doubt, However you don't graduate from Harvard and preside over the Harvard Law Review without having some amount of intelligence. Why don't you pick up a copy of his book "The Audacity of Hope" (get it from the library), read it, then formulate an opinion about him and not judge him because he is pretty and black and in a position to make history. HATERS just can't stand the progress this man has made! I am talking about Harriet Christian and anyone who remotely thinks like her.

Thank you for your comments.pjazzyparhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02270767809180700095noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9045071721348918138.post-2572774706242759492008-06-11T20:15:00.000-05:002008-06-11T20:15:00.000-05:00It's a bit much criticizing her for bringing up Ob...It's a bit much criticizing her for bringing up Obama's race when the main pillars of his campaign were that he is black, young and pretty... but with nothing between the ears.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9045071721348918138.post-80861280105713858412008-06-06T14:30:00.000-05:002008-06-06T14:30:00.000-05:00RC,See that's what I like about you. I agree, we need some kind of movement to consolidate our political interest at this point because right now people are scattered every which way across the spectrum. Vote for McCain? I'd rather eat dirt. Loved the song reference and the song I might add.pjazzyparhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02270767809180700095noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9045071721348918138.post-65873985756165431262008-06-06T13:36:00.000-05:002008-06-06T13:36:00.000-05:00Pjazzy: I am an optimist, too! Everybody get together, try to love one another right now!" group going!

We could make t-shirts and do the hands across America thing again. If it was a phony grass roots campaign, it is not now.

Malcolm,

You are right about New Yorkers like this giving city and state a bad name. Why does it have to be about the BLACK man? That was the only critique she really had. Believe me that lady (and I use the term loosely) and others like her will put this country through 4 more years of hell, rather than back a Black man. She is the type who would "pay a Black man a nickel to bust up her chifferobe" (30 Rock). She probably thinks that people of color should still be in servitude.

Lori,

I know you like to start your day on a upbeat note. This one is Malcolm's fault (smile). I was ashamed for this woman because she was making a fool of herself nationally. I agree wholeheartedly with your sentiments about all the patriotism talk and how Hillary and others are not practicing what they preach.

Hillary is angry and has openly said that only she and McCain are "qualified to run the country". What type of message does that send to voter? She also said it's not Senator Obama's turn, as if this was some type of playground game. She is bitter, plain and simple and she is willing to perpetuate and spread the bitterness among the democrat voters.

RC,

I knew you would come out for this one. We had this talk about racism a couple of weeks ago. Not excusing this woman's behavior, which is shocking and unforgivable, but she is a product of her time. Like Malcolm said, it's people like her who give one of my favorite cities a bad name.

Most people are not as ignorant and ill-informed as this woman. I talk to people everyday who are staunch Obama supporters, both White and women. I am an optimist and I just thought that we would all come together and sing "Kumbaya" (smile) and it is not happening the way I envisioned it.pjazzyparhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02270767809180700095noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9045071721348918138.post-92023593688052091792008-06-06T08:40:00.000-05:002008-06-06T08:40:00.000-05:00I think her ramblings are yes, sour grapes, but sh...I think her ramblings are yes, sour grapes, but she's also a racist. Obviously, her political beliefs aren't stronger than her need to have a white person in The Oval Office.

McCain and Clinton do not share a lot of the same viewpoints. I'm not sure how anyone could back Hillary Clinton and then jump to McCain instead of Barack Obama if it were the issues that were important to you and not skin color.

Running against anyone else, Hillary would have had my vote. I just really believe that Barack Obama is a better candidate for the Presidency.

I think the issues here are not only black and white, but gender as well.

I think the problem with people like this, in general, is that they identify themselves too much with being a "white female" or whatever they are and think that only another "white female" could truly represent them. I don't believe that this is true at all.The Rock Chickhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04653277401124290907noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9045071721348918138.post-48280439822556254972008-06-06T06:50:00.000-05:002008-06-06T06:50:00.000-05:00Funny. Also, I may have seen this already. My hubby likes watching all the news analysts and political experts in the evenings while I'm working on the computer.
I seen and heard most the rants and hissy fits.

Overall though, I think it's sad. As much as I now despise the Clintons, had Hillary won the nomination, I would have voted for her with no problem. Even though I'm registered as an Independent, I generally vote the Democratic ticket. Being a team player to me, meets supporting your team, whether you like the person at the helm or not.

Given all of this talk about patriotism, behavior like hers and Hillary's in recent days is truly unpatriotic, idiotic, immature and just downright selfish. Grow up, move on and get over it. Sheesh!

Rev. Flager got a lot of flack for telling the truth. The attitude among both Hillary and supporters appears to be, a whiney, foot-stomp filled, "IT'S MINES!!" It sounds like she's prepared to cut off her nose to spite her face.Malcolmhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02065814455731328574noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9045071721348918138.post-5825942618054555372008-06-05T19:30:00.000-05:002008-06-05T19:30:00.000-05:00I'm going to post something about this next week, ...I'm going to post something about this next week, But I have a feeling that this is an astroturf--i.e., phony grass roots--campaign. It has all the markings of it. Yet, it's getting tremendous airplay.X. Dellhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17561609651507566271noreply@blogger.com
