I thought I would mark my return to the blogging scene with something kind of light. A friend sent me this email featuring Obama supporters doing a hustle (line dance) named after the man himself. Let me explain something about the people in the southern region of Michigan, which includes Flint, Lansing, Saginaw, etc. They never met a hustle they didn't like. I visited one summer and went out to a club and counted 16 different hustles in one night!
I found this video humorous and thought my best friend would also. He had the nerve to act like he was offended, stating, "the last thing Obama needs is a bunch black folks naming a dance after him". He goes on to say how these people need to get lives and jobs (now I am offended). I saw Obama and Michelle dancing on "Ellen", I wonder if he would be offended to have his name associated with this dance.
Darlene Stewart of Detroit brings you the Obama Hustle, created by Crystal Smith and performed by Seniors United of the Grenadier Lounge. This hustle was created by and for seniors, but it's definitely hot and a great dance for people of all ages. When Obama wins, will you be doing this hustle? Anyhow I will let you be the judge. Is this offensive to you or just fun?

The Rock Chick votes: FUN and I'm wondering why anyone would be offended by this. I don't know the man, but I don't think Barack would find this offensive, either. He seems like he has a great sense of humor.
If I were running for something and people were practicing a victory dance for me ahead of time, I'd be flattered, although I have to admit, I'd prefer my dance to be a little more "Footloose-y", but that's just me! I'd still be flattered.
Glad you're back!
I had a smile on my face during the
entire dance.
I love the dance,Stevie, and Obama.
Yea! seniors of Motown wish I were there.

Im learning the steps now, lol. Glad your back.
Hey PJ,
Why is your friend so uptight?! (LOL) Tell him to take a chill pill. Those folks are seniors. No doubt they've already had lives and jobs (smile).
Nothing wrong with a little dancing. It's all in good fun. I'm sure if Obama wins there will be a lot of dancing in the streets and otherwise! The hustle, the freak, the funky chicken, the camel walk, the prep, the cha-cha slide, the smurf, the bump, the double bump, the four corners . . . Okay, I'm sure you get the picture (LOL)
First off... welcome back!! It's been too long. Personally, I don't have a problem with the Obama Hustle. Did your best friend go into why he didn't like it? My only guess is that he's afraid that the dance falls into the stereotype of Blacks jigging.
Pjazzy, it's really good to see you, always. I've missed your presence here.
That explains a lot of things. I was playing at this club in Benton Harbor, and folks started line dancing. Now I get it.
That was wonderful! I've got it large screen and am practicing it now...I had tears in my eyes by the end...will I be dancing this when Obama wins...oh god...I'll be outside running wild in the streets!
(I am such a nervous wreck now about the election...about the closeness of the polls...I almost can't listent o news reports I get so nervous)

It´s a great idea to create this dance, the Obama Hustle! - I like your new Mr. President Obama and I like this dance. I will teach it to my line dance group here in Germany next time.
Big hugs from Germany!

Not sure where to post this but I wanted to ask if anyone has heard of National Clicks?
Can someone help me find it?
Overheard some co-workers talking about it all week but didn't have time to ask so I thought I would post it here to see if someone could help me out.
Seems to be getting alot of buzz right now.
Thanks
