peace: "Give Me Love (Give Me Peace on Earth)"--Geroge Harrison

love: "Love Stinks"--J. Geils Band

sign: "Signs"--5 Man Electrical Band (or Tesla)

summer: "Hot Fun in the Summertime" Sly and the Family Stone.

trip: "One Velvet Morning"--Nancy Sinatra

drug: "I Want a New Drug"--Huey Lewis and the News

simple: "Sing a Simple Song"--Sly and the Family Stone

psychedelic: "Walking in Space"--from the musical Hair

70s: "Chevy Van"--Sammy Johns

For some reason, this one inspired a lot of memories of the '60s.

I'm beginning to really like this game.

I hadn't thought of "Peaceful Journey" in years. It reminds me of when I worked at Bonaparte's in the early 90s. While at work, we used to listen to WDZZ and "Now That We Found Love" by Heavy D. and the Boyz was in regular rotation.

The Tempts song that came to your mind is one of my faves:

Psychedelic Shack that's where it's at!

X.,

We had a couple of the same songs. You should play since you enjoy it.

Malcolm,

I do remember Heavy's version of that song, but my favorite rendition is probably Third World.

Remember the Psychedelic Shack Album cover. Groovy Man!

Speaking of Huey Lewis, he was @ the DC 4th concert. He still sounded pretty good too!

Thanks for playing this week :)

I remember Summer Breeze by Seals and Croft, is that the same song redone?

Great list. We matched on a few.
Great minds think alike.

Mistress,

I really like Huey Lewis's music. I enjoyed him in that movie "Duets".

Jean at Penny Lane,

Yes it is the same song, but Ronald Isley definitely puts his own flavor on it.
