Old School Friday - The Jackson Family

Well it's Friday yet again. This is probably my favorite family group of all times (sorry Sylvers and Debarge). We have been inundated with Michael Joe videos over the years, so I decided to go with The group as a whole. one by Jermaine, and one by Janet (sorry Latoya and Rebe).

This meme was developed by Marvalus View and Ms. Grapevine. The rules are simple:

1. Anyone can participate; any music genre
2. Old School is defined as music created before 1999
3. No offensive words allowed, please use edited radio version
4. Post a video of your favorite Old School song to take us back down memory lane
5. Add your name to the meme list so that others can check you out
6. Have fun & don't forget to leave comments for other participants

If you want to join in on the fun, click here.

Outstanding choice. Dancing Machine was and still remains a great song ... one of the best from the group. It is sad how Michael felt the need to phuque up his face in the years following this video...

peace, Villager

Being the Jackson fan extraordinaire that you are, I knew that you would pick a solid trio of songs. It was kinda funny watching Jermaine mime to Stevie Wonder’s part in “Let’s Get Serious”. Speaking of Jermaine, isn’t he your favorite Jackson?

An extraordinarily talented family individually and collectively. I like Janet's energy.

Great choices! I am finding that I'm enjoying the Janet vids more than Michael...I wonder why?

Yep Malcolm, Jermaine was the man! In the late 80's through the 90's I liked Janet's stuff.

It has become all about Michael but without the Jackson 5 there would have been no Michael at all.

I do likes me my Thriller, but there is more talent in that family than just Michael.

Thanks for stopping by my OSF - I did happen to post only a Michael song because I'm doing an Oscar theme this week and his was the only Jackson song ever nominated for an Oscar.

Oh, okay, I posted Thriller too - but that's because I can now easily go to my own blog and watch it whenever I want, lol.

Awesome talent in that family, shame so much other crap seems to get in the way.
I will always love Dancing Machine!
As I got older I believe Janet emerged as the more talented Jackson but her last few CDs were a big let down.

This is a great picture. I'm devastated by Michael's loss. May he rest in peace!
