Just for fun, I decided to copy the meme while trying not to look at the answers. We both came up with the same one for travel. Interesting.

You picked a lot of great tunes/artists. Here's what I came up with:

Drum: "Chump Change" (Quincy Jones and Bill Cosby)

River: "Ain't No Mountain High Enough" (Marvin and Tammy)

Sea: "Beyond the Sea" (Bobby Darrin)

Sand: "Love Letters in the Sand" (Pat Boone--yeah, I know).

Travel: "Up, Up and Away" (Fifth Dimension)

Time: "Time Is on My Side" (Rolling Stones)

Journey: Sam Cooke (Steve Perry/Journey's "Loving, Touching, Squeezing," quotes Cooke directly).

Number: "Love Potion #9" (Clovers)

Theme: "Theme from Swat" (Rhythm Heritage--don't ask me, it was the first to come to mind.

Magic: "It's Magic" (Pilot--been innundated with it lately from TV commercials).

BTW, I finally answered your tag. You and Malcolm both get props from me. You should get them from other people too.

I was so glad when the Lovin' Spoonful's orig. albums were released on CD a few years ago. Because the masters were thought to be destroyed, it looked as if this was never going to happen. With the exception of their last album (which I don't think was part of the CD release campaign), I purchased them all.

x.dell,

That is pretty funny about the travel association, I don't know why I thought of that first. I could just see the group taking off in the balloon from a television show I saw as a child.

You have some good songs on your list. I got to look up the theme from SWAT because I don't remember it off hand.

Malcolm,

This is the only song I can remember by the group. I didn't even know John Sebastian was in the group until years later. I remember him from the Welcome Back Kotter theme.
