Everybody is feeling the impact of the high prices of gasoline. I actually had to give up a couple of jobs because it was no longer economically feasible to remain employed. In other words my fuel bill was eating away at my profits. I am not going to even go into why gas is so high or what we can do to make the high prices go away because no one would listen anyhow. I visited The Rock Chick today and she touched on this issue. I am going to share with you the same information I shared with her. There is a website called Gas Buddy that will search out the lowest gas prices in your area in the United States and Canada.

Gas Buddy seems like a nice find, but I'm wondering. Last Friday, I took a trip out to Jersey. On the way out, we passed a gas station where the price was $3.57 a gallon for regular--far cheaper than New York, so I noted the price. On the way back, two hours later, the price had jumped to $3.74 a gallon for regular. So, how accurate could something like Gas Buddy be?
I don't know how accurate it is because I did not create the website. I am just trying to be helpful and pass on some information that might do people some good.
I learned about Gas Buddy a few years ago, but it's been awhile since I've used it. I just paid a visit to the site and it looks they've made some pretty good enhancements.
Since I had a half tank of gas on the way to work this morning, I decided not to fill up my car. This morning, the price was $3.84. When I got home this evening, the price had leaped to $3.99! I was like, "sonofabitch!"
Thanks for the reminder about Gas Buddy. Every little bit of info that we can share with each other to fight these gas prices is helpful.

And...so much for what we both predicted with Idol! LOL I'm glad David Cook won because I think he does have more star potential but I must say, I was surprised!
Malcolm, They have us by the short hair with this gas thing. I remember when I moved to Texas in Jan 07 gas here was less than two dollars a gallon, which was an improvement over California which was well over 2.00 at the time. Bush has run this country into the ground and people are afraid to say what is really going on and that is we are living in a Depression.
